Who operates CureMani?

CureMani is an independently operated personal publication based in the United States. We publish nail inspiration, care guides and product comparisons at curemani.com.

For questions about this website or your information, contact [email protected]. Please do not include payment-card details, identification documents or sensitive health information in an initial message.

Information involved when you browse

Delivering and protecting the website involves technical information such as an IP address, browser details, the requested page and the time of the request. Hosting and security services can process this information to deliver pages, investigate errors and respond to misuse.

The website is hosted using Oracle Cloud infrastructure and uses Cloudflare services for delivery, security or performance features. These technical operations are separate from the product-link analytics described below and from Amazon’s handling of a purchase.

Website performance information

The website includes a Cloudflare performance beacon to help us understand how pages load and perform. Cloudflare describes this beacon as collecting performance information without using browser cookies or storage to track visitors. That description applies to the beacon, rather than every service on the website.

Read Cloudflare’s explanation of its performance beacon for details.

Website and product-link analytics

CureMani uses Google Analytics 4 to understand website visits and interactions. Our nail finder reports when a shortlist is requested, and product links report which product and page led to an Amazon click. These events help us compare useful content and navigation paths; a click does not tell us that a purchase was made.

The added event code sends product identifiers, page identifiers and selection categories to the existing Google Analytics service. It does not add a new cookie or browser-storage identifier. The existing Google tag can use its own analytics technologies. These added events are skipped for signed-in visits and browsers indicating Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control; this does not describe the behavior of other scripts on the site.

For Google’s data practices and controls, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Amazon handles purchases and its own referral reporting after you follow a retailer link.

Information you choose to send

If you email us, your message can include your email address, name and the information or attachments you provide. We use relevant information to handle the enquiry, respond and maintain correspondence. Email is handled through Google Gmail.

If you use a public comment form, consider which information you are making public. Avoid including private contact information or sensitive personal details in a comment. General editorial questions do not require personal medical information.

Cookies and your choices

WordPress can use cookies for sign-in and related account functions. The Google Analytics tag can use cookies and other analytics technologies. Cloudflare features can also involve technical or security-related data processing. The exact technologies involved depend on which feature you use and the service settings.

You can use browser settings to view, block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies or scripts can affect features that depend on them. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These browser controls are separate from any choices available from a destination retailer.

Retailer links and affiliate referrals

CureMani includes affiliate links to Amazon. After you follow a link, Amazon may receive a referral identifier and use its own attribution technologies. Amazon handles its checkout, payment, delivery, returns and privacy choices. CureMani does not collect payment-card information through an on-site checkout.

We receive affiliate reporting, such as clicks, ordered items and commission, through the Amazon Associates service. Website clicks alone do not confirm a purchase. Read our Affiliate Disclosure and the retailer’s own privacy notice before purchasing.

Service providers

The services described in this notice include Oracle Cloud for hosting, Cloudflare for website services, and Google for analytics and email. Amazon separately handles visits and purchases on its own websites. Providers may process information in the countries where they or their service providers operate.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to investigate misuse and protect legal rights, subject to applicable requirements.

Keeping information

Retention depends on the type of record, its purpose and the applicable service settings. Analytics retention is controlled in the Google Analytics property settings; server logs and backups are controlled through the hosting configuration. Correspondence may be retained to handle an enquiry and related follow-up.

To ask about a record that concerns you or request its deletion, contact the address below. Technical, security or legal needs may affect which records can be located or removed.

Your privacy requests

Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request” and enough detail to explain your request. We may need reasonable information to verify that a request concerns you. Available rights, exceptions and response periods depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

Updates and contact

This notice may be updated when website features or information practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Questions about this notice can be sent to [email protected].
